Nashville native Emily Daniels has the charm of the girl next door, fashion sense of a personal stylist, and the determination of an entrepreneur. Her witty and honest lyrics are perfectly blended with heartfelt, pitch-perfect, and infectious melodies. It’s a little Shania Twain sass with a dash of Maddie & Tae sweetness that will leave you humming all week long. Her music is as head-turning as her signature red outfits.
A trained vocalist, Emily has studied with A-List Vocal Coach Renee Grant-Willams (Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill). She cites artists like Ben Rector & Tori Kelly as inspirations lyrically and melodically. She has been awarded high praise from CMT, Opry Radio, BMI, NSAI, and others. Emily is a regular featured artist / writer at Nashville staples including Listening Room, City Winery, The Original Tin Roof, Ole Red, Belcourt Taps, and Alley Taps. In Spring of 2018, Emily performed at Tin Pan South, the world’s largest songwriters festival, at a featured Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) show. In 2019, she was recognized several times by NSAI as a “Writer to Watch” and awarded Honorable Mention in their highly competitive annual Song Contest presented by CMT. Additionally, she made her national radio debut on WSM AM Opry Radio on “Nashville Today” with Devon O’Day. Daniels was an official performer at BMI’s Key West Songwriters Festival in May 2019, which featured over 150 songwriters including Brad Paisley, Scotty Emerick, and Liz Rose.
In March 2020, she released her debut single “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do,” followed by her summer single “Ex on the Beach” in May, and her latest single “My Last Name”, which was inspired by her relationship with her estranged father, was released in September. She looks forward to releasing more music in 2021.
Most recently, Emily can be seen competing on episode 8 of the new Netflix original show “Sing On!” Hosted by the hilarious and talented Tituss Burgess, this eight-episode series is a karaoke-lover’s dream. In each themed episode, six contestants belt out the biggest hits from that genre while being judged by a vocal analyzer comparing their vocal performance to the original artist’s. The more they sing in tune, the more cash they add to a collective jackpot worth up to $60,000.
She’s currently in the studio working on new music, so follow her on socials to be the first to know when you can hear it!
