Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, singer/songwriter Jess Jocoy is a rising artist amongst the Nashville music scene. Following the release of her EP New Heart/Old Soul in 2018, Jess is currently preparing the release of her forthcoming debut full-length record Such A Long Way.
Twenty-nineteen found Jess making strides in her career. She was a contestant on the NBC series Songland, where she performed her song “Easy” before a panel of influential songwriting giants; she played her first official AmericanaFest showcase; and she played the historic Bluebird Café three times, two of which were full band Sunday Spotlight Showcases, all by venue request.
Jess has begun releasing singles from Such A Long Way, the second track titled “Love Her Wild” releasing on Friday, February 14. While the songs don’t always tell her story, each song on Such A Long Way tells someone’s story. Bridging poetic and conversational, Jess seeks honesty and sincerity, however raw. Her new record focuses on the journey: the idea that you’ve come such a long way, but still have such a long way to go. The eleven songs on Such A Long Way reflect a hope in understanding that the journey is not always grand or glamorous, but it’s real.
Such A Long Way will release on Friday, April 10, 2020. Visit jessjocoy.com for more info on new music, live dates, and more.
