Sonny Dayes (pronounced “sunny”) is an independent Nashville-based singer-songwriter with deep influences in psychedelic rock and contemporary folk. His happy, laid-back style sounds like Mac Demarco, Neal Casal, and Jack Johnson mixed with Fleet Foxes. When Sonny’s music career began to take off in early 2020, he left his engineering job to build a home studio in Philadelphia and produce his first album, Enjoy the Rain, a nine-track personal story of love, loss and breakthrough that meshes uplifting piano and vocal harmonies with warm guitars and bluegrass drums. His message as an artist is that positivity is powerful. As a lyricist, he communicates this message through personal stories that aim to make the listener smile. Sonny is also a session lead guitarist with Citizens Loft Records. He is currently signed with TAB Music Management, the start up management company of Tom Burger, a manager with experience handling topline acts such as Hall & Oates, The Allman Brothers Band, Huey Lewis & The News, Gregg Allman Band, Loverboy, and The Tubes. Sonny just released his new single “Sun Come Up”, mastered by the famous Lurssen Mastering out of Los Angeles, on July 27th, 2021. After 3 years rising fast in the Philadelphia scene, Sonny is hitting the ground running in Nashville and is seeking top-line producers for his next project.
